Dear All
I hope that this finds you well.
This week the Government announced the “Rule of 6” changes to national life. The church has been working with the government to see what impact this might have on congregations and faith settings. At the moment worship in faith settings are able to continue as we have been and so are “exempt” from the new rules as they are deemed to be Covid Secure environments. As long as we remain vigilant about social distancing then we can continue to worship, run youth work, operate food banks and you will be pleased to know conduct our APCM’s in October. (Meetings such as APCM’s are limited to 30.) Please make sure that even outside when you catch up with people you keep to groups of 6!
Services today are
8am – ALL SAINTS CHURCH – Holy Communion
10am – ST MARYS CHURCH – Holy Communion
8am - All Saints will be a Holy Communion, again with a small choir. We were hugely blessed last week with this service and were almost “full”. In light of this we have rearranged our seating to accommodate more groupings of people. It would be lovely to see you. If you want to sing in the choir, tomorrow or at future services, please contact Elisa Williams.
10am - St Marys - marks the Patronal Festival of St Marys. There will be a small choir for the first time since March, and we will also be blessed with a Thurifer and some incense. There is a limit to the number of people we are allowed in the church, and seats are allocated on a first come basis. Please sit in family groups as this makes capacity easier.
Both services will be live streamed, please check websites, but also the FB pages as sometimes the live stream is more effective through this medium.
APCM’s for both churches are arranged for October, please keep an eye on paperwork at church, and also emails. If you wish to join the electoral roll then let me know and I will give you the details of the person to contact.

As preacher for both services I have taken the liberty of changing the readings for tomorrow so I have attached them to this email and leave you with the words of the Mary herself from
Luke Chapter 1:46-55 My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, 48 for he has looked with favour on the lowliness of his servant. Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed; 49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name. 50 His mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation. 51 He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts. 52 He has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly; 53 he has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty. 54 He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, 55 according to the promise he made to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.” May our souls along with Mary magnify the Lord!
